The Foglia Family Foundation has been there from the beginning with us. After seeing one of our community performances and asked what they could do to help. When I approached with the idea of helping support the festival, they couldn’t say yes fast enough! Thank you so much to Vinnie Foglia for helping make this festival happen year after year!
Established in 1993, the Foglia Family Foundation is a private family funder in Illinois. In 1971, Chicago native Vincent Foglia founded Sage Products (now part of Stryker), a worldwide leader in disposable healthcare products. Vincent and his wife Patricia founded the Foglia Family Foundation, through which they steadily fund Chicagoland outfits. Grantmaking areas of interest include and education and youth, health, human services, and arts and culture.
The foundation does not have a website to guide grantseekers. However, the Foglias, via their foundation, have supported Chicagoland schools like UChicago, University of Illinois, Christ The King Jesuit College Preparatory, and Altus Academy. The couple has also steadily supported Northwestern University, and Harper College in Palatine, Illinois is home to the Foglia Center for Nursing and Allied Health. The couple also funds health and human services outfits like Ann & Robert H Lurie Children’s Hospital, Northern Illinois Food Bank, and Marillac St. Vincent Family Service, the site of the Pat Foglia Family and Youth Center at Marillac Social Center. The Foglias have also been heavily involved with YMCA of Metro Chicago, which bears their name. In the arts, the Foglia couple have supported Chicago area outfits like Cary Grove Fine Arts Foundation and Raue Center for The Arts.
